Mirror Compacts: A Revival in the Beauty Accessory Market
Mirror compacts are witnessing a renewed interest in the beauty accessories market, with brands such as Rhode, Merit, and others introducing new versions that combine practicality with contemporary design.
Rhode, led by Hailey Bieber, has launched a metal mirror compact priced at $24, alongside her new Peptide Lip Shape lip liners. This product aims to facilitate beauty touch-ups for consumers on the move, fitting seamlessly into the rhythm of modern life.
Similarly, Merit has collaborated with the sustainable jewelry brand Completedworks to offer a limited-edition mirror compact. Priced at $38, or available as a gift with purchases over $125, this compact is part of a broader strategy by Merit to integrate high-quality design with functionality, reflecting the brand’s ethos of blending everyday practicality with luxury.
According to data from Spate, interest in compact mirrors has grown by 70% compared to last year, with around 333,000 weekly views on TikTok and 33,000 monthly searches on Google. Chanel’s Miroir Double Facettes remains popular on Google, whereas newer brands like Rhode and Refy are gaining traction on TikTok, highlighting the impact of social media on consumer interests.
This renewed interest in mirror compacts underscores a larger trend in the beauty industry where traditional items are reimagined to align with modern needs and aesthetics, maintaining their relevance in a fast-evolving market landscape.
